Tasha joined Madrona in 2018 and serves as the firm’s controller. In this role, Tasha supports the accounting, tax, and audit functions for Madrona and Madrona’s venture funds.

Journey to Madrona

Tasha was formerly with EY in Seattle from 2015 – 2018 in the assurance practice, where she worked primarily with clients in technology and retail. On top of her client-facing work, Tasha was involved in the Entrepreneur of the Year program, identifying and interviewing founders and entrepreneurs about their leadership and innovations.

Lessons learned

Getting from point A to point B is all about asking the right questions. It is okay not to have the answers as long as you have the tools to work through the problem.

When she’s not in the office…

Born and raised in Seattle, Tasha spends her time outside the office skiing in the Cascades, trying new restaurants, traveling, and cheering on Husky football. She mentors undergraduate business students in the mentorship program run by Foster.

Noteworthy

Tasha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master’s in Professional Accounting from the University of Washington Michael G. Foster Business School. Tasha is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington.
