From New Idea to New Standard: Yoodli Raises Series B to Scale Experiential Learning

Today we celebrate Yoodli’s continued momentum as they raise a $40M Series B led by WestBridge Capital, with participation from current investors including Neotribe and Madrona. The round marks an important moment for the company and for the category it helped create (and where it’s going next). What began as a personal insight led to the inventive use of conversational AI, which has now become a new standard for how sales, customer success, and leadership teams prepare for the moments that matter.

From the beginning, Yoodli built around a simple but ambitious idea: important conversations deserve real practice. For most people, that practice has been limited to occasional coaching sessions, informal roleplays, or static training modules. Yoodli’s AI Roleplays changed that reality. And now they’re expanding their value and impact across experiential learning as a whole. The Yoodli platform gives teams a realistic, judgment-free environment in which to learn and grow, rehearsing high-stakes scenarios and receive instant feedback on clarity, pacing, structure, and presence.

Over the past year, this approach has shifted from interesting concept to enterprise expectation. Teams are not only trying AI Roleplays. They are adopting them as a core part of their enablement systems. At Databricks, for example, the platform has become a repeatable way to prepare sellers for high-pressure conversations and to create greater consistency across the organization. Yoodli has earned customers like Google, Snowflake, RingCentral, Pigment, LHH, Korn Ferry, and Sandler Sales. Many customers now build libraries of scenarios, adapt roleplays to their own coaching frameworks, and treat practice as an essential part of how they onboard and train their reps, external partners, and managers.

The Series B reflects how quickly this category is taking shape and where it’s going next. AI Roleplays are no longer a niche experiment, and Yoodli’s technology and vision powers more than the traditional roleplay experience that created the category. They are now shaping experiential learning as a whole. Yoodli is becoming the natural way organizations help people learn and build the skills that drive revenue, strengthen customer relationships, and influence culture. The combination of generative AI, personalized scoring, and structured feedback is proving to be a meaningful improvement over traditional training approaches. It meets people where they are and supports continuous skill development in a way that was not possible before.

For Madrona, this moment is especially meaningful. We partnered with Yoodli at Day One, when the product was still taking shape and the category had yet to be defined. From those earliest conversations, the team stood out for its clarity, pace, and commitment to understanding customer needs. Varun and Esha have built Yoodli with intention and ambition, sharpening the product while adding the enterprise-grade capabilities and integrations their customers depend on. Each step forward has strengthened the category and shown how powerful practice can be when it is accessible, adaptive, and grounded in real scenarios.

The new funding gives Yoodli the ability to widen its impact. The team plans to continue advancing the AI foundation behind Roleplays, deepening enterprise features, and expanding the scenario libraries and coaching frameworks that customers rely on. Most importantly, this round supports the work of bringing a modern model of communication practice to more teams and individuals who want to show up with confidence in the interactions that shape their success.
We are excited to continue our day 1 partnership with the Yoodli team. They have taken a new idea and turned it into a new standard, and the momentum behind AI Roleplays suggests that the next chapter will be even more significant, both for the category and for the organizations realizing the value of consistent and high-quality practice.
