To the extent you are a California resident and we collect “personal information” subject to the CCPA, the following applies. This section does not address information that is exempt under the CCPA, such as publicly available, de-identified, or aggregated information.
Categories of Personal Information Collected and Disclosed
The table below identifies the categories of personal information we may collect about California residents and may have collected in the prior twelve (12) months. We may disclose each category to service providers or contractors for business purposes as described in this Privacy Policy.
- Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, online identifiers, and IP address

- Internet or other electronic network activity information: information regarding your interaction with our Website, portal, or communications
- Geolocation data: general location information derived from IP address
- Inferences: drawn from the above to support our business activities and relationships
Sales and Sharing of Personal Information
The CCPA defines a “sale” of personal information as disclosing or making available personal information to a third party in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration, and “sharing” as disclosing or making available personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Madrona does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited personal information — such as identifiers and internet or network activity information — to service providers, including analytics providers, for business purposes pursuant to written agreements that restrict the service providers’ use of the information. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, and we do not sell or share personal information of individuals we know are under the age of 16.
Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following categories of sources: directly or indirectly from you; your employer (e.g., to facilitate account or portal access); affiliates; business partners; vendors and service providers; analytics providers; operating systems, platforms, and devices; publicly available sources; and other third parties.
Purposes of Collection, Use, and Disclosure
As described in Sections 2 and 3 above, we may collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information for the following business or commercial purposes, and as otherwise directed or consented to by you:

- To communicate with you, including responding to inquiries and facilitating events, newsletters, and other business communications
- To administer professional, investor, portfolio, recruiting, and business relationships
- To conduct analytics, research, auditing, and internal operations

- To maintain security, prevent fraud, and detect, investigate, and deter unlawful or harmful activity
- To comply with applicable legal obligations, respond to law enforcement requests, and enforce our terms and policies
Sensitive Personal Information
We do not collect, use, or disclose “sensitive personal information” beyond the purposes authorized by the CCPA. We only use and disclose sensitive personal information as reasonably necessary and proportionate to: (i) perform the Services you request; (ii) ensure security and integrity, including preventing and detecting security incidents; (iii) detect, prevent, and respond to malicious, fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal conduct; (iv) verify or maintain the quality and safety of our Services; (v) comply with our legal obligations; (vi) support our service providers performing services on our behalf; and (vii) achieve purposes that do not involve inferring characteristics about you.
Retention
We retain personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above or as otherwise disclosed to you at the time of collection. For example, we retain account information for as long as your account is active, and for an additional period as necessary to comply with our tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations and legal requirements — including to protect, defend, or establish our rights and defend against potential claims. In some cases, rather than delete personal information, we may de-identify or aggregate it in compliance with the CCPA.
California Residents’ Rights
Subject to certain limitations, California residents have the following rights under the CCPA:
- Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA; accordingly, this right is not applicable to our practices.
