Celebrating Sabrina Albert (Wu), the Newest Partner at Madrona Ventures

At Madrona, our strength starts with our people—those who bring insight, rigor, and a deep commitment to helping founders build lasting companies from day one.

Today, we’re celebrating Sabrina Albert (Wu) as she steps into her new role as a Partner. This milestone reflects the growing impact Sabrina has had on our team, our portfolio, and the broader startup ecosystem. It also marks a new chapter in a journey defined by curiosity, vision, and the kind of dedication that helps companies succeed over the long haul.

Sabrina began her investing career at Vector Capital, where she sourced and executed B2B SaaS deals and supported large, high-performing software companies. That experience gave her early exposure to what great looks like at scale and sharpened her ability to help early-stage teams get there.

Since joining Madrona in 2021, she has consistently demonstrated the qualities that define exceptional investors: deep commitment to founders, strategic thinking, and an ability to zoom out on long-term market shifts while leaning in on the hard, everyday work of company building.

Sabrina has an instinct for spotting where a sector is heading, and the drive to work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders as they navigate operational decisions, go-to-market hurdles, and the continuous product innovation required to build a great, durable company. She is able to do this because she embodies the values we prize most at Madrona: excellence, integrity, founder focus, and an unwavering commitment to impact.

While Madrona has long been committed to innovation in artificial intelligence, there’s still so much opportunity ahead, and Sabrina has been instrumental in shaping where we go next. From leading and supporting investments to in-depth founder engagement, she has helped shape our work around agentic systems, the role of AI in the enterprise of the future, and what this next wave of enterprise technology will demand.

This shines through in her writing, including deep dives on enterprise agent adoption (Part 1, Part 2) to forward-looking predictions for the artificial intelligence sector as a whole, and how it relates to the SaaS playbook. This work has helped founders and tech leaders peer around corners, imagining the enterprise of the future and how applied AI will take it there.

Enterprise Agents by PLDuring her tenure at Madrona, Sabrina has become a trusted partner to world-class founders across various sectors and stages, working with companies like Shaped, Finpilot, Clarify, Seekout, Pulumi, and so many more. Founders consistently describe her as someone who shows up with a sharp perspective and steady partnership, helping not just with strategy and hiring, but with the resilience it takes to keep building when things get hard.

Sabrina’s presence is a steady force across our team and portfolio, shaping more than just individual investments. She’s curious, collaborative, and focused; always asking what it will take to help a company — and the people behind it — move forward. Her sharp thinking and calm leadership have made her a trusted leader across our team and portfolio.

Becoming a partner at Madrona isn’t about tenure or titles. It’s about demonstrating leadership, earning the trust of founders and colleagues, and helping deliver successful outcomes. Sabrina embodies all of this and more.

We are incredibly inspired by the investor, teammate, and leader that Sabrina is today, and we’re even more excited about what she’ll accomplish in this new chapter. Please join us in congratulating Sabrina Albert (Wu) on her well-deserved promotion to partner at Madrona!
