Here in Seattle, we don’t just participate in technology revolutions. We create them. The internet, the cloud, developer platforms, enterprise software, and world-changing innovations in life sciences all have deep roots here.
And now, the next wave is taking shape. From AI and machine learning to biotech, climate tech, and beyond, Seattle is home to the talent, research, and ambition defining the future.
Seattle Tech Week is where this ecosystem of builders comes together. From July 28 to August 1, nearly 200 events will turn our city into an open-source celebration of innovation and community, bringing together founders, operators, investors, and leaders from around the globe.
Innovation Lives Here
Seattle’s tech community is more than the sum of its parts. It’s an interconnected network of builders and thinkers who combine deep technical expertise with a bias for practical impact.
That spirit shows up in every corner of the city — and during Tech Week, you’ll see it everywhere:
AI and Machine Learning: Seattle has one of the world’s most concentrated pools of AI expertise, powering advances in infrastructure, intelligent applications, and responsible deployment.
Biotech and Life Sciences: Breakthroughs in genomics, digital health, and computational biology are reshaping care and discovery.
Cloud and Developer Tools: The birthplace of the cloud continues to lead the way in building the infrastructure of the future.
Space and Robotics: From satellites to autonomy, Seattle innovators are expanding what’s possible in orbit and on the ground.
Seattle Tech Week celebrates the diversity and depth of these sectors and the collisions between them that spark entirely new ideas.
What Makes Seattle Tech Week Special
This isn’t a single-track conference. It’s a citywide, community-driven experience that mirrors the culture of the Pacific Northwest: collaborative, curious, and unapologetically ambitious.
Nearly 200 Events Across the City: Hands-on workshops, technical deep dives, and candid conversations about the future of tech.
Creative Ways to Connect: Panels, pitch competitions, workshops, 5K runs, pickleball matches, rooftop mixers, and more.
A Global Audience with a Local Core: Founders, investors, and operators from around the world, anchored by the people who make this ecosystem exceptional.
We’re honored to have longtime regional leaders (Amazon, Microsoft, the University of Washington, and AI2, just to name a few) hosting events and programs throughout the week. Just as exciting is the energy from other regional leaders and a surge of dynamic new organizations stepping in to shape what’s next.
Seattle Tech Week wouldn’t be possible without the passionate group of leaders who help bring it to life every year. In addition to the team at Madrona, we’re grateful to our fellow Seattle Tech Week Committee members — Lindsay Randall, Jen Haller, Natalie Steck, John Brust, and Michael Avent — for their partnership, creativity, and commitment to making this week truly community-driven. Together, we set out to build something that reflects the strength and spirit of Seattle’s tech ecosystem — and we can’t wait to see what unfolds.
Three Decades In, and Just Getting Started
At Madrona, we always strive to “build a bigger pie” of founders, companies, and success stories. It’s our core ethos, and we’ve been honored to build that bigger pie alongside this community for 30 years. From the earliest internet startups to the companies that defined the cloud era, and now the AI visionaries reimagining the very foundation of how technology intersects our work and lives. Each platform shift has expanded the pie, and each one has had Seattle’s fingerprints all over it.
Now, the next chapter is here, and it’s going to be even bigger. Seattle Tech Week isn’t just a collection of events. It’s proof of what’s possible when a city of builders comes together.
