We are so excited to welcome the newest addition to our investing team, Palak Goel!
Palak is a unique combination of authentically curious, passionate, and knowledgeable about technology, and he is an analytical thinker – all critical traits in our industry!
A Bay Area native with a dual CS and Economics concentration from Brown University, Palak made his way to the Pacific Northwest via Microsoft, where he has spent the last three years as a Product Manager across multiple teams. First, Palak worked on launching and scaling a developer platform that enabled developers to bring web technologies to their native applications. Most recently, he was on the Microsoft Turing team working to productize deep learning models across a variety of applications. Palak also built experience in venture capital as a Fellow for Alumni Ventures’ Waterman Ventures subsidiary, where he helped source and evaluate investment opportunities through Brown’s alumni network.
As a key member of our investment team, Palak will evaluate prospective new investments, identify new trends, and assist in developing our investment themes. He will also work closely with our existing and new portfolio companies. Palak will spend a significant portion of his time on Madrona’s core investment themes of Intelligent Applications and Next-Generation Infrastructure.
“I’ve only been in Seattle for a few years, and I’m already so excited by the depth of technical talent in Seattle,” Palak said. “I look forward to partnering with local technical founders to build amazing businesses!”
You may have already seen Palak around town, building relationships with the next generation of entrepreneurs in the Pacific Northwest. He is particularly interested in the open-source community and emerging business models around open-source projects and intelligent applications.
Outside of work, you can find Palak tearing up the squash and pickleball courts around town. Look out for Palak at local events and welcome him to our Seattle startup community!
